If you’ve been following along with some of my blog posts, you’ll probably think this family looks familiar and you would be 100% correct. This is the Bonagura family who recently welcomed a new daughter-in-law to the family. That’s right, Alexis and David Bonagura just recently got married just over 2 months before these photos were taken in their backyard in Franklin Lakes. These photos were taken Thielke Arboretum in Glen Rock, New Jersey.

Perhaps what is even more special to me about this family is that I’ve been with this family at least once a month for what will be the final four months of the year. It is really flattering to me and humbling to me that I get to be this family’s historian for 4 months straight! Not only that, they are extremely fun to be around and take photos of.

This session came about after David’s brother, Alex, returned home for a brief visit after completing the United States Marines bootcamp in Parris Island, South Carolina. We had to move extremely quick knowing the schedule of his leave from the Marines before returning for duty would be quick. Nonetheless, Alexis and I chatted and scheduled a family portrait session before Alex returns back to service.

I cannot thank this family enough for bringing me out for the 3rd time in 3 months to be their photographer and personal historian. Wishing Alex the best of luck and for safety as he serves our country. Semper Fi.
