Wedding Styled Shoot: Never Can Have Enough Content

One of my favorite things to do is travel, especially when I can use business as a reason—or maybe an excuse. After all, combining work with exploration always feels like a win-win. In one of the Facebook groups I’m part of, I found a new venue hosting a wedding styled shoot for vendors. To my surprise, it was in the same town where I used to attend my high school marching band sleep-away camp.

What made this wedding styled shoot stand out was the variety it offered. There were so many different backdrops, models, and styles to work with, all in one location. It was also an affordable shoot to attend, which made the experience even better than I expected. Between the incredible hosts and the fun group of attendees, I had a blast. I made new friends and got the chance to practice shooting weddings in a completely new way.

Styled shoots are great for experimenting with techniques you wouldn’t try at a real wedding. It’s the perfect opportunity to test new ideas without the pressure of a live event. Lately, I’ve been working on improving my off-camera flash skills. It’s a challenge, but it allows me to create more artistic and unique photos.

Check out some of the highlights from this wedding styled shoot below!
