When Ashley and I decided to do a Bear Mountain Portrait Session, we had no idea just how perfect the fall colors and stunning views would be for our shoot. We’ve known each other through mutual friends in the automotive community, so when I texted her out of the blue to ask if she wanted to model for me at this local spot, she agreed without hesitation. Bear Mountain is one of my favorite places, with its picturesque lakeside locations and vibrant autumn scenery. It’s the perfect place for capturing nature-filled portraits, and we knew it would be an amazing backdrop.
This was my first portrait session with Ashley, and honestly, I was nervous—but I couldn’t even tell you why. The great thing was, Ashley and I already had a friendship, which helped us get comfortable right away as we walked around the boat launch area at Bear Mountain.
We had such a great time during the session, chatting and laughing as we explored the area. I was able to capture some candid moments that felt so natural, and I could tell Ashley was having fun too. The fall colors in full bloom really brought a warm, golden glow to the photos, making everything feel extra special.
By the end of the session, we were both treated to an amazing sunset. We left feeling excited to see how the photos turned out. When I got home and started editing, I couldn’t believe how well the photos came together. From the vibrant leaves to the calm lakeside shots, everything just clicked. Needless to say, Ashley and I were both extremely proud of the results from our Bear Mountain Portrait Session.
