February has been an extraordinary month for Nicholas Yee Photography—one of those months where everything seems to come together perfectly. It’s always humbling to be recognized for doing what you love, but this month, we had the honor of not just one, but two major photography awards that truly reflect the essence of what we do.
These wins are not just about accolades; they’re about the real, authentic moments that I strive to capture in every wedding. Moments of genuine connection, love, and joy. And this month, I’m so grateful to be able to share the recognition for my work, along with the beautiful stories that came with it.
Let’s take a moment to look back at the WedAward Collection #125 Winner and the Wedisson Collection #130 Winner, two significant achievements that mean so much to me as a photographer.
WedAward Collection #125 Winner: Celebrating Real Moments and True Love

Weddings are filled with unforgettable moments—those fleeting, magical moments that often go unnoticed in the whirlwind of the day. As a wedding photographer, it’s my job to capture these moments in their rawest, most beautiful form. WedAward Collection #125 Winner is the perfect embodiment of this.
WedAward is a prestigious international wedding photography competition where the focus is on capturing those unposed, real moments that make a wedding unforgettable. This year, I was fortunate enough to have four images selected out of 2,465 submissions from 13 countries, a recognition that celebrates the emotion and storytelling in wedding photography.
Each winning image in this collection tells a different story, but they all share one common theme: authenticity. From a couple walking hand-in-hand through a grand estate to a champagne tower celebration brimming with joy, these images are a reflection of my passion for capturing love in its most genuine form.

Wedisson Collection #130 Winner: The Power of Simplicity

As if that wasn’t enough, February also saw a Wedisson Collection #130 Winner recognition, where one of my images, “Seaside Embrace,” was selected as a standout among 5,858 photographs submitted from 14 countries. This is an incredible honor, as Wedisson is another international wedding photography competition, known for recognizing images that embody both technical excellence and emotional depth.
What makes “Seaside Embrace” particularly special isn’t just the beautiful beach setting—it’s the simplicity of the moment. The couple shares a quiet kiss, surrounded by the soft backdrop of ocean and sky, making this image an instant favorite of mine. This image also won an award in WedAward Collection #124, making it a true double win that I’m incredibly proud of.
Wedisson Collection #130 Winner highlights the simplicity and authenticity that I strive for in my photography. It’s the moments where love is unguarded, unposed, and pure, captured in a way that tells the story of the couple’s connection.

Why These Wins Matter
I’ve always believed that wedding photography isn’t just about snapping pictures—it’s about capturing the raw emotions and connections that define a couple’s love story. Both the WedAward Collection #125 Winner and Wedisson Collection #130 Winner affirm that this approach resonates with couples, judges, and photographers around the world.
It’s not about awards for the sake of recognition; it’s about being acknowledged for the work that means the most to me—preserving those real, vulnerable, and authentic moments. Each award is a reminder of why I do what I do: to capture the essence of love.
These wins are a reflection of my commitment to creating timeless, emotional, and authentic wedding photography, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be doing this work.
