I’m proud to share that I am a WedAward Collection 133 winner, with one of my wedding photographs selected for this international collection. The 133rd collection features 92 selected photographs from photographers in nine countries, and I’m grateful to see this image included.
As an award-winning New Jersey wedding photographer who also serves Orlando and couples throughout Florida, I value this recognition because it reflects the kind of work I aim to create at every wedding: thoughtful photographs with strong composition, real emotion, and a clear sense of the celebration happening around the couple.

Every recognition is meaningful, but this photograph is especially representative of the way I see a wedding day. It combines a carefully composed portrait with the movement and activity happening around the couple.
What Is WedAward?
WedAward is an international community of wedding photographers that holds monthly photography competitions. Photographers from around the world submit their work, and the selected photographs are published in WedAward’s online collections.
At the end of each competition year, WedAward uses those selections to create its annual photographer rankings.
Having a photograph selected means the image was recognized alongside wedding photography created across different countries, traditions, venues, lighting conditions, and photographic styles.
This latest award joins my previous WedAward selections and my recognition as a Top 10 WedAward photographer for 2023. You can view the winning image and more of my recognized work on my official WedAward profile.
Still at the Center

The photograph selected for WedAward Collection 133 is titled “Still at the Center.”
In this black-and-white image, the bride and groom share a kiss beneath a dramatic, cloud-filled sky. They remain clear at the center of the composition while members of their wedding party move around them in a soft blur.
The surrounding motion gives the photograph its energy. You can see that the celebration is continuing around the couple, but your attention stays with the two of them.
The bride’s bouquet, her long veil, and the couple’s embrace provide visual detail without distracting from the kiss. Converting the image to black and white reduces competing color and makes the contrast between movement and stillness even stronger.
What I love most about this photograph is how it reflects the experience of a wedding day. So much can be happening at once—people moving, plans unfolding, weather changing—but a single moment between two people can make everything else feel briefly quiet.
Creating Movement Without Losing the Moment
Wedding photography is not always about freezing every person in the frame. Sometimes allowing movement to remain visible creates a more honest sense of the atmosphere.
In this photograph, the blurred figures are not distractions. Their movement frames the bride and groom and directs the viewer’s eye back toward the center. The result feels active and composed at the same time.
Creating an image like this requires more than asking a couple to stand in the right place. It involves recognizing the surrounding light, choosing the composition, anticipating movement, and making technical decisions quickly enough to preserve the moment.
That balance between direction and observation is an important part of my approach. I will offer clear guidance when a photograph needs structure, while still leaving room for the energy and personality of the wedding to remain visible.
What Award-Winning Photography Means for My Couples
Awards are meaningful, but couples need more than one impressive photograph.
They need a photographer who can work through changing light, manage a busy timeline, guide family and wedding-party portraits efficiently, and stay ready for moments that cannot be repeated.
That preparation begins before the wedding. It includes learning what matters most to each couple, understanding the venue, building a practical photography timeline, and preparing for the different conditions the day may bring.

My goal is to provide a complete body of photographs that balances creative portraiture with the unscripted interactions that make each celebration different. A wedding should not be forced into someone else’s formula. The photography should reflect the people, relationships, and atmosphere that were actually there.
